The Gary Academy of Professional & Civil Laureates invites you to a historic first: the induction of Gary's inaugural class of Laureates — individuals whose achievements in law, medicine, industry, and public service trace back to the streets and classrooms of Gary. This is a night to celebrate the builders, scholars, and civic leaders whose work carried the city's legacy forward.

Ronald Sullivan Jr. — Professor of Law, Harvard University (Roosevelt High School)
Mamon Powers Jr. — Co-Chairman, Powers & Sons Construction (honored alongside his late father, Mamon Powers Sr., inducted posthumously)
Chuck Hughes — President & CEO, Gary Chamber of Commerce (Roosevelt High School)
Dr. Janet Seabrook — Founder, Community HealthNet & Gary Health Commissioner (Roosevelt High School)
Joseph Stiglitz — Nobel Laureate in Economic Sciences (Horace Mann High School)
Steven E. LaBroi — Board Regent Emeritus, LaBroi Insurance Group (Roosevelt High School)
Estate of Ardell Hanley (Posthumous) — Longtime Gary Entrepreneur & Community Matriarch (Gary Resident, 1947–2021)
